Chaplaincy Ministry: Serving Christ Through Serving Others - Paperback

by Stan E. Dekoven (Compiled by)

Not everyone is called to formal ministry. In fact, most believers are quite content serving in a limited capacity in their local church. Though most are not called to formal ministry, all are called to be equipped to serve, and there is no greater place to serve the Lord than as a volunteer chaplain from a local church. In fact, Jesus mandated all true believers to feed, cloth, and visit...especially the prisoners; but really, anyone in true need! Have you been called to serve in a nursing home, children's orphanage, health facility, prison...or any of the many other areas one can serve as a certified, equipped chaplain? The question is not the mandate; the question is, are you equipped to serve? In this introductory book, Dr. DeKoven writes and edits material to prepare one for successful chaplaincy at an introductory level. The nuts and bolts of basic chaplaincy service are detailed in this work. You will be challenged to serve at a deeper and more dynamic level, based upon practical wisdom and the Word of God. Dr. Stan DeKoven is the International President of Vision International University, and founder/President of the Vision International Training and Education Network.
