Baptism and the Covenant of Grace - Paperback

by Michael Allen Rogers (Author)

Why should believers in Christ baptize their covenant children?

Wouldn't it be wonderful if there was a verse in the Book of Acts that read, "And whenever the apostles baptized new converts they included the family's infant children in accordance with the covenant of grace"?

That would surely end the infant baptism controversy once and for all. But since no such verse exists, the matter requires thoughtful, step-by-step reasoning from God's Word. This practical, engaging book provides that reasoning, making the case that infant baptism is key to unlocking our understanding of God's Covenant of Grace.

Originally written for his Presbyterian (PCA) congregation, Dr. Rogers draws on scripture and his many years as a pastor to tackle this sometimes-controversial subject with warmth, wit, and wisdom.

Topics include: Why we baptize, who should be baptized, the Covenant of Grace and its signs, historical and cultural evidence for infant baptism, God's tender mercy for children, an appeal for peace, baptism as taught in Reformed creeds, and frequently asked questions.
