by Robert J. Strock (Author)

This transformative work will help you respond effectively to life's challenges, especially when you are prone to self-criticism or emotional withdrawal. This approach is for anyone seeking greater inner peace and well-being. Robert Strock, a leading psychotherapist in Southern California, has developed the tools in Awareness That Heals through a lifetime of deep self-exploration. His unique approach is based on the successful outcomes experienced by many hundreds of his clients and colleagues.

The practices taught in Awareness That Heals will help you to:

-Discover how tone of voice can reduce conflict, generate peace, and cultivate trust and intimacy.

-Skillfully relate to yourself during periods of suffering with a wisdom-guided "Friendly Mind."

-Learn self-care practices that counter feelings of self-rejection and associated fear and pain.

-Become aware of how feelings can help us identify and meet our deepest needs.

-Transform anger without suppressing it.

You will benefit most if you identify at least one personal challenge, whether past, present, or anticipated, and bring it to your experience as you read Awareness That Heals. By doing so, each practice will make more sense, and the reading experience will be more real and relevant. Your personal involvement enhances the dynamic relationship between the practices and you.
