Aurora - Hardcover

by Beth Ball (Author)

The battle for an age begins more simply than one might think-an elven diplomat, a human noblewoman, and the forbidden love that would change their world, forever.

Elven diplomat Dorric Themear has experienced the giddy flutterings of new love before. But not like this. Behind the sapphire eyes of Lady Emelyee Amastacia lies a long-awaited destiny that neither of them can sense or stop.

However, forces darker than Emelyee's husband are prepared to stand in their way.

Close on the couple's heels, Ridel, one of Lucien's most trusted servants, is less than enthused about her assignment to watch the would-be lovers. If only her master had been visionary enough to see that a child cannot result if the parents are dead. She'll do her best to comply with his orders to observe and to wait-at least for now.

Although Dorric and Emelyee do not suspect the role they play in the larger story of Azuria, they have a secret protector lingering in the shadows, preparing for precisely this moment. High in the Frostmaw Mountains, Yvayne has seen the signs of the turning of the age before. This time, with the proper intervention, she and the druids can make their play for Azuria.

In this prequel novella for the Age of Azuria high fantasy series, competing forces converge in a battle for the future of their world-a future that hangs upon the return of a long-awaited soul. And, of course, on Dorric's ability to woo the human noblewoman whose affections lie beyond his reach.
