Ashgate Fortress - Hardcover

by Jessica Pietro (Author)

The Ashgate Fortress is known to many as the most gruesome place in all of Arkaemor. Screams from below the ancient Monastery reveal the torment of its prisoners. And yet, within this penitentiary of despair lies the only pathway to hope.

When Orion wakes, he's saturated with evidence of the Queen's torture, both inside and out. As the world collapses around him, he escapes to the Grim Wilds where he finds more questions than answers.

Jericho awaits the return of the Prince, and Orion holds the keys, but does he have what it takes to face the deadly prison and set Alexander and the others free?

Amidst all fate throws his way-monsters and magic, a tribe of fierce warriors, and a princess who insists on remaining at his side-Orion will face his most difficult battle of all...his heart.

Greed or sacrifice.

Cowardice or courage.

Death or salvation.

All legends are forged in fire, but when held against the flame, will he rise from the ashes?

Or will he burn?

**Though The Great King and the Seer is a closed-door romance with no spice, it leans more toward NA, with intense and sometimes graphic themes and descriptions, as well older main characters ranging from 18-35 years old.**

See what others are saying about it:

Which prison is more horrific, the physical prison of the realm, or that of the mind? This series is quickly becoming my Roman Empire.

Once again, Pietro weaves together a beautiful world with vivid descriptions, including brand-new animals and creatures, the likes of which I could never have dreamed up myself.

Pietro masterfully wields her pen to take readers on an intense journey through the world she created, into the darkness of fear and death, and out into the light of hope. I will absolutely be picking up book 3 as soon as it comes out!

This is an engaging read that pulls you into its gritty, well-crafted world. The intense action and vivid setting are definite highlights, and the plot twists keep you on your toes.

I have nothing but positives. This authors world building and character building is perfection! I am growing to truly love and admire this authors work.

The Great King and Seer is an epic fantasy series that captures the imagination and captivates the reader. The world building and character development in last year's Seeking Elvyra was magnificent. In Ashgate Fortress, the author has surpassed herself and created even more locations, given depth to her main characters, and added a few more fan favorites.

This fantastic series is so intricate and varied that it reminds me of Lord of the rings. I hope that the books gain the following that they deserve. The world is so rich that I could envision this becoming a blockbuster movie.
