Its unique round oval shape is achieved through an interior headliner that combines thicker front and rear pads with thinner side pads, making it ideal for riders with wider heads rather than elongated profiles. Crafted with the Peripherally Belted - Super Complex Laminate Construction (PB-SCLC) shell, the helmet offers a durable yet lightweight profile, delivering both performance and affordability. Equipped with the Variable Axis System (VAS) shield system, the Quantum-X Wave features a lower pivot point by an average of 24 mm, resulting in a smoother shell surface area around the temples. This design reduces impact energy transfer and enhances impact absorption. The VAS latch ensures the shield remains securely closed, preventing accidental openings and allowing seamless operation even in challenging riding conditions. The included VAS-Max Vision (VAS-MV) shield is compatible with VAS-MV Pinlock® lenses, with a Pinlock® 120 lens included for anti-fog performance.

Ventilation is optimized with the QVF three-position intake and QVR exhaust ducts, providing excellent airflow management. The side vent functions as an exhaust even when the top front shutter is closed, ensuring continuous ventilation. The helmet also features FCS® cheek pads with a contoured design supported by multiple foam densities and a foam “spring,” which cradle the face comfortably while blocking wind noise. The water-repellent ES chin cover enhances the helmet’s aerodynamic profile and smooth airflow, improving exhaust from the mouth area and reducing wind noise from below.
