The Quantum-X Ray is equipped with the Variable Axis System (VAS) shield system, which lowers the pivot point by an average of 24 mm. This design results in a smoother shell surface, especially around the temple area, reducing impact energy transfer and improving overall impact absorption. The VAS latch securely holds the shield closed, preventing accidental openings and enabling seamless operation, while the larger latch enhances ease of use even in challenging conditions.
Airflow management is optimized with QVF three-position intake and QVR exhaust ducts that deliver excellent ventilation, ensuring rider comfort by effectively channeling fresh air in and exhausting hot air out. The side vent functions as an exhaust even when the top shutter is closed, maintaining consistent airflow. The helmet also features FCS® cheek pads, contoured with multiple foam densities and a supportive foam “spring” to cradle the face securely, block wind noise, and facilitate easy on and off. The water-repellent ES chin cover enhances the helmet’s aerodynamic profile, smooths airflow, and increases exhaust from the mouth area, reducing wind noise from below.
The Quantum-X Ray is supplied with the VAS-MV shield compatible with the VAS-MV Pinlock® lens, which is included along with Pinlock® 120 MaxVision™ for fog prevention.
