The ARAI Helmets Quantum-X Ray 2XL helmet combines innovative design and advanced features to ensure optimal safety and comfort for riders with slightly wider head shapes. Its round oval shape is achieved through an interior head liner that incorporates thicker front and rear pads, complemented by thinner side pads, providing a secure fit tailored for comfort and stability. The lightweight shell, constructed with peripherally belted super complex laminate construction (PB-SCLC), offers durability and performance while maintaining affordability. This design ensures the helmet withstands impact energy effectively, providing peace of mind during rides. The helmet's shell also enhances airflow and reduces wind noise with a water-repellent ES chin cover that smooths airflow around the chin area, increases exhaust from the mouth, and minimizes noise intrusion from below.

Designed for optimal impact reduction and aerodynamic performance, the Quantum-X Ray features the Variable Axis System (VAS) shield system. This system lowers the pivot point by an average of 24 mm, resulting in a smoother shell surface around the temple area to reduce impact energy transfer. The integrated VAS latch secures the shield reliably, preventing accidental openings while allowing intuitive operation. The helmet comes equipped with the VAS-Max Vision (VAS-MV) shield, which accepts the VAS-MV Pinlock® lens, with the included Pinlock® 120 MaxVision™ insert preventing fog buildup for clear visibility in various conditions.

Airflow management is enhanced with QVF three-position intake ducts and QVR exhaust ducts, ensuring excellent ventilation during rides. The side vent continues to serve as an exhaust even when the top shutter is closed, maintaining airflow efficiency. The FCS® cheek pads are contoured with multiple foam layers supported by a foam “spring,” cradling the face comfortably while blocking wind noise and facilitating easy helmet on-off.
