The VAS latch ensures secure closure, preventing accidental opening and allowing for seamless shield operation, including de-mist functions for clear visibility in various conditions.
Enhanced airflow is provided by QVF three-position intake and QVR exhaust ducts, which optimize air intake and exhaust performance. The side vent continues to serve as an exhaust even when the front shutter on the top duct is closed, helping to maintain consistent airflow and rider comfort. The helmet's FCS® cheek pads are contoured with multiple foam densities supported by a foam “spring,” making on-off easier while effectively blocking wind noise and reducing turbulence around the face. An integrated, water-repellent ES chin cover enhances the helmet's aerodynamic profile, smoothing airflow and increasing mouth-area exhaust while decreasing wind noise from below.
Included with the helmet is the VAS-MV shield compatible with the VAS-MV Pinlock® lens, and a Pinlock® 120 MaxVision™ insert provides fog-resistant clarity.
