Another Day in Paradise - Paperback

by Myrna K. Burkes (Author)

Caradan Eagle Newspaper Reporter, Carrie James, welcomes life as an adventure and a new opportunity to learn. For her, every day is just "another day in paradise". Her inquisitive nature sometimes lands her in trouble, but her investigative talents have proven invaluable to the local Police. Carrie finds herself drawn to tall, blonde and gorgeous Kristian Corey, but the memory of a former love's treachery is still fresh and she is determined not to risk her heart again. Kristian, a firefighter on leave, experiences tragedy when his twin sister disappears without a trace. He shares an attraction for the petite, curvaceous Carrie, and although she isn't beautiful, her blue eyes, stunning white blonde hair, pert little nose, and luscious pouty mouth is all he can think about. Kristian finds himself believing in "love at first sight", as well as the ability to "channel". He tries to push all thoughts of the Reporter from his mind, because he has made a vow to find his twin. In spite of his determination not to let anyone or anything deter him from his quest, he finds himself quickly falling in love with Carrie. Carrie discovers the bodies of two young women who recently disappeared from the surrounding communities. She and Kristian are thrown together as they try to solve their murders and his sister's mysterious disappearance. Soon, they find themselves in danger of losing their hearts, as well as their lives as they become closer to The Monster that has been living amongst them...in Caradan...right in plain sight.
