ADHD and Executive Function: : Simple and Practical Guide to Developing Teens Habits and Raise Their Self Discipline for a Successful Life - Paperback

by Katie Huebner (Author)

Are you looking for a method to solve your child ADHD? Then keep reading...

Like a turtle's protective shell, as embodied by John Green's above quote, our brains proactively protect our holistic health and wellness in numerous ways. Yet when our brains do not feel balanced and/or fully understood, we can frequently suffer immensely in so many aspects of our lives as far as socioemotional wellbeing, relationship management, spiritual focus, physical health, psychological wellness, mental stability, financial aptitude, vocational and career success, etc. We can also lose hope, succumb to illnesses, and suffer from anxiety, disordered eating, PTSD, OCD, depression, and shatter our self-esteem from this type of detrimental domino effect, if our turtle shells are not intact. No, I am not talking about the Teenage Mutant Ninja characters, either, if your child is an avid fan of the movies.

Speaking of shells, how do you protect yourself and kids from ADHD's triggers and outcomes? Have you taught yourself how to wear a mindful shell to protect your sanity when parenting kids, tweens, and teens with ADHD? Are you positively and mindfully modeling for your kids how to develop one for their own self-protection, behavioral regulation, and sense of advocacy, self-esteem, positive academic and vocational development, and socioemotional growth? Is your children constantly struggling with social relationships, typically sent to the office weekly, lacking academic concentration in school or in the workplace, experiencing behavioral conflicts with peers or family member, and suffering from insomnia or other health ailments?

Do you feel like your teenager with ADHD will never learn to drive a car because of his or her inability to focus or self-regulate? Is your tween with ADHD unable to sit through a family meal successfully, both at home and in public, without tapping on the table or constantly getting up from one's chair to roam around the dining room or kitchen? My daughter struggles to remain seated during meals because of her ADHD, so I have full empathy with you. These perky, hissing symptoms denote merely just a few of ADHD's daily challenges, much like a cold-hearted snake in the grass, that we need to tame and train.
