A Siren Through Time - Paperback

by Christine M. Walter (Author)

A British spy dressed in French soldier garb took a bullet for me only minutes after I accidentally traveled through time. What the...

Savanna Stevens couldn't explain how she'd traveled through time and found herself on a Spanish beach surrounded by French soldiers. The rough men whispered superstitious fears of mermaids and entrapments. Since the gullible bunch mistakenly believes her to be a siren, she runs with the lie to stay un-dead. I guess her bright purple hair and unusual choice of clothing could send the wrong vibe. Not to mention, she had some newfound ability to entrap them with her song.

Did that bit of superpower have anything to do with her sudden change in eye color and her tripping through a mirror and time? No idea. All she knew was that she needed to return home but had no idea how. Plus, there was a war raging around her and one of the soldiers took a bullet for her. So, yeah, there's that.

Would she be stuck in eighteen-hundred-whatever forever?

While undercover as a French soldier, British spy, Walter Hurst, hadn't expected to come across a strange beauty on the Spanish shore whilst cannonballs echoed off the walls of the nearby burning homes. Nor did he expect to take a bullet for her. Yet, he'd make the same choice over again if it meant she'd remain at his side.

He lay for days on the verge of death, drifting in and out of consciousness and dreams of her. She, in turn, saved his life, that much he knew, but talk of time travel and strange songs made little sense.

Had he really promised to help her home safely? How would that be possible when he was on a mission for King and Country? And what about his heart that she would take with her when she left?

A Siren Through Time is the second book of a time travel six-book series. It is a closed-door/sweet romance set in war-ridden Spain. Triggers are a small number of mild cuss words, war-related death and violence, and a man attacking a female (nothing goes beyond kissing).
