A New Normal: Raising Special Needs Children & Keeping Your Sanity - Paperback

by Tara Weston-Isenor (Author)

Fifteen years ago, I embarked on a journey of self-discovery and finding the real meaning of life through raising my special needs child. The lessons learned, advice received and helpful hints and suggestions are now here for other special parents to use and enjoy. Just because your child is deemed special needs, doesn't mean life can't be happy, and good. There will be difficult moments, challenges and obstacles to overcome, but with the right mindset and help, the majority of time can be filled with laughter, joy and really seeing 'life' like never before. I want this book to inspire, empower and be a resource for parents and families along their journey with their own special needs child. You need to know and understand that you are not alone and that you really are special too! Shelley Hersey who has written the foreword for the book states, "With no exaggeration, once I began to read A New Normal: Raising Special Needs Children and Keeping Your Sanity, I could not put it down. The easy-to-read chapters are presented in practical, poignant and at times entertaining servings. I do not recall ever having read such a candid and comprehensive narrative. Tara Weston-Isenor vividly captures her experience and shares it so eloquently and powerfully the reader understands with both mind and heart. I am certain that you will enjoy A New Normal. Whatever your role, it offers much: resounding anecdotes, clever strategies, vivid experiences, validation, and most of all, encouragement and shared faith."
