"While I was Fred Clarke's boss at Time Inc, he taught me more about being an effective manager than I ever taught him...He was a natural, empathetic leader of people in every setting in which he was involved. I was deeply impressed by the memoir he wrote and shared with me...Written for his grandchildren, it contains nuggets of wisdom about what is important in life on every page." - Bob Steed, Time Inc"This book will confirm for Fred Clarke's grandchildren, what everyone who worked with him at Princeton University always understood -he was a very special man. He was professional with the highest standards and work ethic. And he was as kind as he was intelligent. Colleagues and friends like Fred are rare..." - Vikki Ridge, Princeton University

"A Giant in my Family, Cousin Freddy was the blueprint for my own life of Love, Honor and Family! He was a Griot, and stood tall as a great example, especially to the boys and young men in our family." -Tony Coello

"Frederick George Clarke, Cousin Freddie, to me, was a quiet yet powerful force of wisdom, warmth, and strength... Tall, husky, and kind, his voice carried wisdom, and his advice always came with honesty and care. What a gentle giant he was to me." - Sandra Coello
