A Dream of Darkness - Hardcover

by Cory Kruse (Author)

From a new voice in horror comes a chilling novel that recounts one community's brush with unspeakable evil--and the desperate struggle for survival that follows.

By all appearances, the town of Norick is perfect.

Secluded amid a vast stretch of untamed wilderness, the settlement and her people are alone. Here, a thousand leagues into the North, the settlers have forged their own path, away from the South and its vices, away from civilization and the endless wars threatening to tear it apart. Here, in their isolation, the settlers have flourished.

But in this idyllic mountain community, not everything is as it first seems.

All bright surfaces have dark underbellies, and Norick has plenty of secrets of its own. For William Breeve, the drunk, damaged captain of the Town Guard, Norick's hundredth anniversary celebration unfolds in a series of strange, disconcerting events. Events that make clear there's more at work in these woods than any of them would dare believe.

Determined to unravel the truth, William rushes to investigate ... only to discover that something sinister is indeed at work. Something that won't stop until it's made itself known--or brought them all to ruin.

Set over the course of one fateful night, A DREAM OF DARKNESS reveals just how strange--and terrifying--the darkness can be.
