Solid or perforated zones
Perforation changes texture and visual contrast; it does not make the wheel waterproof or maintenance-free.

Description
Hand-stitched over the OEM wheel
A tailored Alcantara rim—without replacing the steering wheel.
This custom-fit wrap is sewn directly over the compatible factory round wheel, adding a suede-like hand surface while keeping the original airbag, controls and steering structure in place.
- Hand-sewn fit
- A1–A7 styles
- OEM wheel retained
Round-wheel fitment only
The live option covers one pre-refresh wheel family.
| Vehicle / wheel | Fitment | Check before sewing |
|---|---|---|
| Model 3 · 2017–Oct. 2023 · OEM round wheel | Compatible | Confirm spoke shape and 14.5–15-inch round rim profile. |
| Model Y · 2020–Mar. 2025 · OEM round wheel | Compatible option listed | Use the selector wording and compare wheel/spoke outline. |
| Model 3 Highland | Not listed | Refresh wheel architecture requires a dedicated pattern. |
| Model Y Juniper / Model YL | Not listed | Do not infer compatibility from the Model Y name. |
| D-cut, yoke or aftermarket wheel | Not compatible | The supplied seam and spoke cutouts will not match. |
Dry-fit before using tape or thread.
Center the 12-o’clock marker, align every spoke opening and confirm equal seam reach around the full rim. A style code does not change the underlying fit pattern.
A1–A7 are visual recipes
Choose from the option images—not the code alone.
Each code represents a particular surface, perforation, stripe or stitching treatment. Lighting and screen color can change the appearance, so compare the gallery image attached to the live option before ordering.
12-o’clock treatment
Some styles use a contrasting top marker. Centering it is one of the main installation alignment checks.
Visible seam character
Stitch spacing and tension determine the finished look as much as the selected thread color.
What changes in the hand
More texture and thickness—with maintenance trade-offs.
The sewn layer changes rim feel and can add grip texture compared with a smooth worn factory surface. It also collects hand oils, dust and flattened nap over time, especially at the most-used positions.
Heated-wheel expectation
Adding a textile layer can reduce or slow the heat felt at the hands. This cover does not add heating and cannot guarantee unchanged heated-wheel performance.
Plan 1–2 hours
This is a sewing project, not a slip-on cover.
- Clean and centerDegrease the factory rim gently, dry fully and align 12 o’clock plus all spoke openings.
- Secure temporarilyUse the supplied double-sided tape only after the pattern is confirmed; keep it away from controls and seams.
- Stitch evenlyWork in short alternating sections, keeping tension firm but not tight enough to distort the cover.
- Tuck carefullyUse the supplied tool around spoke trim without scratching surfaces or obstructing buttons.
- Finish and inspectTie off thread securely, trim excess and check the entire rim for loose areas or interference.
- Test while parkedTurn lock-to-lock and verify buttons, scroll wheels, stalks and hand clearance before driving.
DIY or upholstery shop
Many owners complete hand stitching themselves. Watch the process and assess patience, dexterity and trim confidence first; an automotive upholstery/detailing shop is the practical alternative.
In the package
A fitted cover plus the hand-stitching kit.
- 1 × model-specific Alcantara steering-wheel cover
- High-strength sewing thread
- Hand-sewing needle(s)
- Trim/tucking and installation tools
- Double-sided positioning tape
- Style treatment selected from A1–A7
Keep the nap from glazing
Clean lightly and early.
Routine care
Use clean dry hands, vacuum with a soft brush and wipe lightly with a white microfiber cloth dampened with water. Let the material air-dry, then raise the nap gently.
Avoid
Do not saturate the cover, scrub aggressively, use household solvent or apply oily leather conditioner. Test any Alcantara-compatible cleaner on an inconspicuous area.

Alcantara wheel-cover FAQ
Is this a slip-on cover?
No. It is a custom-fit wrap that must be hand-stitched over the compatible original wheel.
Does it fit Model 3 Highland or Model Y Juniper?
No compatible option for those refresh-generation wheels is currently listed.
Will it affect the steering-wheel heater?
The added textile layer can reduce or slow perceived heat. No unchanged-heating guarantee is made.
Do I need to remove the steering wheel or airbag?
The cover is intended to be sewn over the installed rim; wheel or airbag removal is not part of the stated installation. Keep tape, thread and tools clear of controls and the airbag area.
Can I return it after sewing?
Dry-fit and confirm style before tape or stitching. Sewn, taped, marked or used covers may not qualify; review the current refund policy before installation.
Wheel shape → style code → patient stitching
Verify the original round wheel before choosing A1–A7.
