Description
Plaid-pattern projection · 2PCS or 4PCS
A decorative door-open projection, not a claim of brighter broad-area puddle lighting.
These plug-in door modules replace compatible factory puddle lights and project a red, white and black Plaid-style graphic onto the ground.
- Front-door pair or four-door set
- No wire cutting listed
- Model 3, Model Y and Model YL
- Projection visibility varies
The live product has one broad connector family
Confirm the existing door-light module before ordering.
The current selector is labeled “Model 3 & Model Y & Model YL (2017+).” Read that as a shared product family—not as a 2017 start date for every model.
2020+ family
Includes legacy Model Y and Model Y Juniper in the current description. Verify each door position before choosing four pieces.
2026+ family
Listed in the live compatible-with option. Because it is a newer model, visual connector confirmation is especially important.
Do not rely on the product title alone. It highlights Highland and Juniper, while the live option is broader. The deciding checks are the removable door-light opening, module dimensions and electrical connector on the exact vehicle.
Choose quantity by door position
2PCS covers the front doors. 4PCS adds the rear doors.
- Front Door 2PCS: two projector modules for the left and right front doors.
- Front & Rear Door 4PCS: four modules for both front and both rear doors.
- Before selecting 4PCS: inspect both rear doors for compatible removable puddle-light modules and matching connectors.
What the photos show: each module projects the same Plaid-style graphic. The listing does not offer alternate logos or colors.
A logo projector has a different job from a broad puddle lamp
Buy it for the door-open graphic.
Dark, flat, light-colored ground
The image appears sharper when ambient light is low and the surface is reasonably even.
Texture changes the graphic
Gravel, wet pavement, dark asphalt and sloped ground can reduce contrast or distort the projected shape.
Focused image versus wide illumination
A projector concentrates light into a graphic. Do not assume it will illuminate a larger walking area than the original lamp.
Simple electrical swap, careful trim work
Test each light before seating it in the door.
The current description specifies a direct replacement with no cutting or splicing. Installation still involves an electrical connector and painted/interior trim edges.
Compare
Match the new module, tabs and connector to the existing door light before disconnecting anything.
Release
Keep the door open and use a non-marring trim tool to release the original lamp without levering against visible trim.
Connect and test
Plug in one projector, verify illumination and orientation, then repeat for the remaining doors.
Seat and recheck
Press the module into its opening only after the connector is secure and the image direction is correct.
Stop if the module does not sit flush, the connector is loose, a fuse or warning is triggered, or a window/door function behaves unexpectedly. Do not close a door against an unsecured light or dangling wiring.
Evidence available today
Use the gallery for pattern, color and package inspection.
The listing currently shows no completed product-review count. The most concrete evidence is the module photography, projected graphic and two-versus-four-piece selector.
- Close-ups show the projector lens and rectangular module body.
- Night photos show the intended red, white and black Plaid-style pattern.
- Four-door imagery demonstrates the 4PCS configuration, but exact brightness is not comparable across camera exposure settings.

Door projector FAQ
What is included in the 2PCS option?
Two Plaid-style LED projector modules for the left and right front doors.
What is included in the 4PCS option?
Four modules for both front and both rear doors. Confirm compatible rear-door light openings and connectors before choosing this option.
Does it fit legacy Model 3 and Model Y, not just Highland and Juniper?
The live compatibility option states Model 3, Model Y and Model YL, and the current description lists legacy and refreshed generations. Because production hardware can change, compare the original module and connector on the exact vehicle.
Does installation require wire cutting?
The current product states a direct plug-in replacement with no cutting or splicing. If the connector or housing does not match, stop rather than modifying the vehicle wiring.
Will the projection always look as bright as the photos?
No. Ambient light, ground color, texture, distance, moisture and camera exposure all affect apparent brightness and sharpness.
Is this an official Tesla light?
No official Tesla affiliation or approval is claimed here. It is an aftermarket decorative projector module with a Plaid-style graphic.
What should I know about returns?
Confirm the module shape, connector and selected quantity while the product remains uninstalled. Electrical products that have been installed or modified may have restricted non-quality return eligibility; review the current refund policy.
Check the door modules, then choose two or four.
Connector match → front pair or four-door set → test before seating.
